During my senior year, enlisted in Navy pilot training program (V-5) and departed for active duty 7 days after graduation.

With 3 periods of active duty and Navy transfers, attended eight colleges and universities to earn BA, MS, LLB and PhD.

Met my wife, Betty Lou Kerr (class of 1946), in the TAHS orchestra, where we both played bass viol.
